ABOUT

The only painting ever sold by Vincent Van Gogh during his lifetime was a painting called The Red Vineyard. It sold to Anna Boch, a collector and admirer in the late 1800s. Today, The Red Vineyard is considered the most valuable painting in the entire world.

Van Gogh’s short life in France was engulfed by vineyards and art. He saw the beauty in both. Therefore, we chose the name for our art gallery and wine bar as a tribute to him. The Red Vineyard features wines by award winning Virginia vintners and art from prestigious painters who portray the rural character, the hunt country and the wine country surrounding the rolling hills and dales that neighbor the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains.

Jim and Jan Allmon, an artist for over 25 years, have owned successful art galleries in Woodstock, Vermont, Williamsburg, Virginia and Worthington, Ohio. Their passion as artrepreneurs and artists have led them to Middleburg, Virginia just an hour outside of DC but a world apart. They recognize that life slows down enough to enjoy what is most important. Enjoy a glass of wine with the one you love or a painting that makes a memory and enriches your life.

The Red Vineyard wants your experience to be enjoyable and memorable during your visit to Middleburg. Please, stop by to visit.
